New EZ-Office Software from Trimble Streamlines Flow of Agriculture Information Between the Field and Office

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 22 /-- Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) today introduced its new EZ-Office(TM) software that offers growers seamless field-to-office data transfer and a simple way to manage Global Positioning System (GPS)-collected farm management records and information.

EZ-Office software is part of Trimble's new Connected Farm(TM) suite of information management tools. Connected Farm solutions take the stress out of data management through in-cab precision farming control, record keeping and seamless field-to-office information management.

The EZ-Office software automatically recognizes field event data from the Trimble's AgGPS(R) EZ-Guide(R) 250 and 500 lightbar guidance systems and AgGPS FieldManager(TM) display. As the tractor, sprayer, implement or other farm vehicle moves through the field, the in-cab displays record farm management practices. Information from the display then seamlessly links to EZ-Office software for an easy-to-use record keeping and reporting solution which includes field and crop management, vehicles, operators, staff, and crop inputs.

Examples of crop and field management data collected and stored by EZ-Office software include:
-- GPS guidance patterns used within a field to maintain controlled traffic
-- Vehicle operator information
-- Precise areas tilled, planted or sprayed
-- Specific "as-applied" data showing how much seed, fertilizer, and crop protection chemical has been applied
-- Automatic steering configurations for individual vehicles

Growers who purchase the EZ-Office software can also purchase optional software, which provides a standardized set of product names and database attributes for chemicals, seeds, and equipment.

"The new EZ-Office software takes the stress out of a vital, but often tedious task for crop growers and does it easily. As a result, the integrated GPS system software allows crop managers to focus their time and energy on critical field operations while keeping accurate and timely job records," said Erik Arvesen, general manager of Trimble's Agricultural Division. "These records are not just the foundation data for making precision farming practical and more productive -- for some operators they are legal records required by government agencies, landlords and farm management firms."

EZ-Office software is designed and developed by Trimble in collaboration with CTN Data Service, LLC, the parent company of Farm Works grower software suite.

List price for the EZ-Office software is US$295 and is expected to be available March 2008 from Trimble resellers. For more information, including the location of your nearest Trimble reseller, call 1-800-865-7438 or visit http://www.trimble.com/.
