D/3® Process Automation System (PAS), Version 12.0
NovaTech announced the latest release of the D/3® Process Automation System (PAS), Version 12.0, on August 5, 2004. Version 12.0, running under Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional, uses Windows' Active Directory to maintain User accounts on an IT Domain Controller instead of local to the control system thus increasing system security and simplifying account maintenance.
New and updated hardware interfaces include support for Siemens 505 I/O, HART, and NovaTech's Orion processors. Multi-level redundancy is available for historical trending with an updated trend display capable of showing more trend values with more user configurable display options. Also included in Version 12.0 is a new Advanced Diagnostic package for monitoring and alarming the health of the control systems, and OPConnect, an OPC interface to PLCs.
