PLEASANTON, Calif., Nov. 9 -- AdventNet Inc., a pioneer and leader in cost-effective network management software, today announced support for wireless switches, thin/dumb access points with the release of version 5.0 of ManageEngine WiFi Manager. The new version enables enterprises to monitor, configure, secure and manage a heterogeneous network with both thick/stand- alone access points as well as wireless switches -- all from a single console.
ManageEngine WiFi Manager is an enterprise-class, vendor-neutral software for centralized management, monitoring and security of Wireless LANs. It supports hardware from leading wireless vendors including Cisco, Symbol, D-Link, Netgear, Procurve by HP, Proxim, SMC, Nomadix and many more. WiFi Manager enhances the availability and security of WLANs by continuously monitoring the network as well as the airspace.
