Windows 2000-based Battery Manager is designed to be integrated with Digatron Firing Circuits test equipment and other measuring and environmental apparatus normally found in a laboratory. All of these are easily accessed and clearly defined in a single database available to all laboratory technicians. From the time a job is opened and its parameters defined, every piece of information about the job, each battery, and each step of the process is logged and retrievable. The unique job number provides fast access to all related data generated in the laboratory. A SQL database is used to store all pertinent information concerning batteries, test specifications, parameterization, test equipment utilization and test routines, etc. As each job step is completed, results are automatically entered into the system and the next test sequence is clearly identified.
Bar coding technology is utilized to generate the battery's unique identifier, track the battery through the various test procedures, and to provide instructional information to the laboratory technician. From start to finish, data associated with each battery, as well as current project status, is readily available.
