Overview
IBM Workplace Collaboration Services optionally incorporates a rich user experience, which is available as IBM Workplace Managed Client. In order to take advantage of this rich user experience, which includes rich client access to messaging, documents, instant messaging, Activity Explorer, productivity tools, and data access, plus the ability to create custom rich-client applications, customers and Business Partners must license both IBM Workplace Collaboration Services 2.5 and IBM Workplace Managed Client 2.5. The release of IBM Workplace Managed Client 2.5 is being coordinated by the IBM Workplace Client Technology Project Office (WCT PO) as a "Managed Availability" release. If you are a customer and are interested in getting more information on the availability of Workplace Managed Client 2.5, contact your IBM sales representative. Enhanced IBM Workplace software products
IBM Workplace Web Content Management, Standard Edition now provides an expanded range of capabilities to enable greater usability and system management. While Workplace Web Content Management continues to help streamline the Web content management process by placing content creation and management in the hands of content experts for author once, publish everywhere control, it also provides expanded language support, an enhanced portlet-based user interface, core member management and automated installation and migration for ease of deployment.
