Agilent Technologies Speeds Test System Development with Easy-to-Use, Standards-Based Graphical Programming Environment

PALO ALTO, Calif., March 8, 2004 -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today introduced Agilent Visual Engineering Environment (VEE) Pro 7.0, an easy-to-use graphical programming environment that helps speed development of measurement and control, analysis, test-system and data-acquisition applications in industries including aerospace and defense, wireless and consumer electronics. Agilent VEE Pro 7.0 incorporates a series of enhancements based on an open, standards-based environment that intuitively simplifies all tasks of test system development, freeing time so that engineers can focus on design challenges.

"We listened closely to our customers and provided the most requested enhancements to VEE Pro 7.0," said Mark Pierpoint, vice president of Agilent's Measurement and Analysis Software Group. "Agilent VEE Pro 7.0 provides significant new functionality and openness while keeping test program development fast and simple."

VEE Pro 7.0 uses a graphical programming environment to handle all common measurement tasks in design and manufacturing, including connecting instruments, measurement, analysis and reporting. Agilent VEE Pro 7.0 enhancements include:
