IBM and Oracle Unveil a New Solution Edition for JD Edwards



An Integrated eServer Solution With JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and JD Edwards World is Tailored to Meet Specific Needs of the Small and Medium-Business Market

ORACLE OPENWORLD, Sept. 20 / -- IBM and Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) today announced a new IBM eServer solution for Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and JD Edwards World to better manage the core business operations at small and medium businesses.

This offering is being introduced on the i5 520 models of IBM's premier midrange server as an extension of the IBM eServer i5 550 Solution Edition previously announced for EnterpriseOne and World. The IBM iSeries solution will be sold by Oracle and IBM resellers in North America.

The new integrated iSeries Solution Edition offers rapid deployment, ease-of-administration and web-enabled environments. This enables a simple cost-effective way to run JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and World products.
