IBM CICS Transaction Gateway for z/OS V6.0 - An Enhanced J2EE Connector for CICS
Overview
CICS® Transaction Gateway (CICS TG) for z/OS® is a market-leading connector that has been proven over many years to be a high-performing, secure, scalable, and tightly integrated method of e-business access to CICS. Benefits include ease of installation and a flexible configuration requiring minimal changes to CICS with usually no changes to existing CICS applications. It delivers a range of networking options and support for Java(TM) and J2EE clients.
CICS TG for z/OS V6.0 provides an industry-leading implementation of the J2EE Connector Architecture (JCA) at the 1.5 specification level. An External Call Interface (ECI) JCA resource adapter is provided, enabling COMMAREA-based CICS applications to interoperate effectively with WebSphere® Application Server V6.

o Improved performance of data processing, providing for decreased CPU usage
