This advanced real-time data collection and reporting software system provides instant information to manufacturing plant management and personnel to help increase efficiency and maintain quality control at peak levels.

StatPak-PC is a totally integrated software suite designed for the real-time collection, viewing, and reporting of weight data generated by equipment such as in-motion checkweighers, static check scales, and fill-by-weight packaging machinery. The StatPak-PC reporting system is designed to improve the productivity of production filling and weighing equipment and help users reduce downtime. It goes beyond the standard production reporting packages that print analysis and summary reports. StatPak-PC provides in-depth analysis of production over long periods of time and allows users to integrate this data into their company's enterprise-wide database or software system.

StatPak-PC captures and logs weight data, from which it makes real-time calculations of total weight, average weight, mean weight, and standard deviation. The software also provides important data on spec and control limits for each production run. StatPak-PC can provide production and analysis reports from any production scale with a controller capable of transmitting a final unit, gross, tare, or net weight. The system can connect to as many as 64 production scales simultaneously, collecting and storing weight data categorized by time, date, material type, customer, or lot number.

Unlike other, more basic, reporting products that simply store the data into the user's existing spreadsheet or database, StatPak-PC uses open database standards (e.g., Access®, SQL®, etc.) and stores data specific to material type. This makes retrieval and analysis of this data quick, simple, and accurate. This software system can also seamlessly integrate with the user's existing SQL database and can export data in a wide array of formats. StatPak-PC's user interface and tools are pre-configured, ready to use right out of the box, while the software remains significantly more cost effective than fully integrated process control programs.

When used with Thompson Scale checkweighers, communication is established between the software and hardware. Material setups are no longer stored in the checkweigher's memory, but in StatPak-PC's database. This not only eliminates errors with data entry, but also adds a level of security to the checkweigher system by restricting access to reject limits and target weight settings from the factory floor. For all other production filling and weighing equipment, StatPak-PC uses an operator interface device that provides a direct interface back to the software. This allows the operator to easily interface with StatPak-PC's database, call setups, enter lot numbers, and display proper target values for reference at the filler, simply by entering the material name or number.

StatPak-PC is specifically designed to be extremely easy to install, configure, and use, yet provides powerful data collection and analysis tools. Users from novice line operators to experienced Quality Assurance, Production Supervision and Corporate Management can all use and benefit from the system. It does not require the use of other programs, such as database or spreadsheet programs, and runs on a variety of Windows®-based computer systems, including Windows 98®, 2000, and NT.
