IBM Content Management CEO Bundle Expanded to include DB2 Document Manager, Lotus Workplace Web Content Management, and OnDemand Report Distribution

Overview

As organizations strive to make their operations more cost-effective and efficient in an increasingly on demand environment, content management technology can help organizations solve a critical problem - managing and integrating all forms of information, including scanned images, audio, video, and information from multiple software vendors' products located in multiple data sources.

The IBM Content Management Complete Enterprise Option (CEO) Bundle (formerly known as DB2® Content Manager CEO Bundle) provides a broad range of content management capabilities for enterprise-wide deployment. The following products have been added to the existing IBM Content Management CEO Bundle:

· IBM Content Manager for Multiplatforms, Lotus® Workplace Web Content Management for DB2 Content Manager enables non-technical users to combine the collaborative authoring of Web content management with the ability to integrate and leverage content from multiple applications and business processes. This promotes content re-use (instead of re-creation) and control over the quality and consistency of content published to a portal or a Web site. For more information, refer to Software Announcement 203-228, dated September 2, 2003.

· DB2 Content Manager OnDemand for Multiplatforms, Report Distribution provides an easy way to automatically group reports and portions of related reports, organize them, convert the report data into various formats, and send the reports via e-mail to users, plus make the reports available for printing. For more information, refer to Software Announcement 203-335, dated December 9, 2003.

· DB2 Document Manager manages the various states and transitions that occur throughout the life of a document, from creation to final disposition. In doing so, DB2 Document Manager fosters collaborative document creation and management across groups of globally dispersed creators, contributors, reviewers, and approvers, ensuring that accurate and up-to-date documents are available on demand, where and when they are needed. For more information refer to Software Announcement 203-355, dated December 17, 2003.
