SAN DIEGO, Feb. 15 -- Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ:WBSN), the world's leading provider of employee internet management solutions, today announced that the just released Websense(R) Web Security Suite(TM) is supported by the new Cisco(R) PIX Security Appliance Software version 7.0. The Cisco PIX Security Appliance Software version 7.0 delivers a wealth of new enhancements, including advanced application layer firewalling services, to further protect businesses of all sizes.
Enforced by the wide range of Cisco PIX 7.0 application firewall capabilities, the Websense Web Security Suite provides customers with an additional layer of advanced web security for mitigating spyware, malicious mobile code, phishing attacks, instant messaging attachments, and other web-based threats. Available in two versions, Cisco customers can utilize the Web Security Suite to protect employees with a comprehensive security solution at the internet gateway and network. Organizations are able to add further support at the employee desktop with the Web Security Suite - Lockdown Edition(TM).
