Newport Beach, California - September 1, 2007 - NCCS, the developer of NCL multi-axis machining software for the aerospace, automotive and turbo machinery industry, announces availability of enhanced features giving programmers more automation without compromising its flexibility.
Enhanced Geometry Label Display
o Geometry labels can now be displayed with a bounding border and background around the text of the label. This improves the way programmers use geometry labels within the part program by making it easier to discern on the screen.
o Leader lines can now be added to the label pointing to the geometry that it is associated with. With this ability, NC programs become more efficient and effortless to edit.
o A new interface function has been added to automatically position the labels so that there is no overlap in the current view. This feature is designed to automate the labeling function, thereby reducing the number of programming steps.
According to David Schultz, NCCS' Manager of CAD/CAM Applications, "Our software is continually enhanced to increase efficiency by aiding the user in their specific application. Applying the geometry labeling function enables programmers to take advantage of NCL's advanced features without compromising the software's flexibility".
