Rockwell Automation Launches New Fall Line of Rockwell Software Products Under its Coordinated Product Release Program
MILWAUKEE, September 19, 2002- Rockwell Automation has announced the latest Rockwell Software products to be released under the company's coordinated product release program. The biannual program simplifies installation and product integration for end users by providing software products designed and pre-tested for interoperability,making it easier for manufacturers to manage product updates.
o RSNetWorx(TM) v4.01 - The new RSNetworx MD for ControlNet provides advanced maintenance and diagnostic features for plant networks. In addition, the RSNetworx v4.01 network configuration and management package now supports Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Terminal Server and offers a new Online Assistance Center.
o RSLogix(TM) 5000 v11 - Programming software for the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix(TM) family of processors has improved functionality with new support for Sequential Function Chart(SFC) and Structured Text (STX) programming. Extensions to the Function Block Diagram (FBD) language have been added to offer support for online editing.
o RSLogix 5 v5.50 - Programming software for the Allen-Bradley PLC-5 family of processors has new Logic Trace functionality (RSLogix 5 Professional) and Cross Reference navigation.
o RSLogix 500 v5.50 - Programming software for the SLC(TM) 500 and MicroLogix(TM) 1000 family of processors has new Logic Trace functionality (RSLogix 500 Professional) and Cross Reference navigation.
o RSView Enterprise Series(TM) v2.10 - The latest version of RSView Enterprise Series, which includes RSView Supervisory Edition(TM) v2.10, RSView Machine Edition(TM) v2.10 and RSView Studio(TM) v2.10, is optimized to help companies meet regulatory compliance through electronic documentation and information security.
o RSBizWare(TM) v5.0 - The BizWare suite of software, which includes Historian(TM), PlantMetrics(TM), RSSql(TM), and Scheduler(TM), has been updated with FactoryTalk(TM) Web Services to help end users integrate RSBizWare with ERP systems using XML.
o Arena(TM) v7.0 - to improve modeling capabilities, v7.0 has added a bill of materials function, a new reorder policy module and an earliest start rule option.
o RSLinx(TM) v2.40 - For improved plant floor device communications, v2.40 now has support for Ethernet IP and a new Online Assistance Center.
