MASS Group Delivers FactoryServer CMMS EAM Version 4.4 With Significant Features to Improve Asset and Maintenance Management

New Modules and Enhanced User Interface Deliver Greater Power

CHATSWORTH, Calif., June 26 /-- Manufacturing Automation & Software Systems Group, Inc. (MASS Group, Inc.), a leading developer of software products for managing and executing the manufacturing process, today announced the release of FactoryServer(TM) CMMS EAM 4.4. The latest release includes new features to increase productivity and improve the customer experience. FactoryServer CMMS EAM provides plant management and reporting tools for tracking and maintaining production equipment and assets at peak performance.

"FactoryServer CMMS EAM 4.4 delivers on MASS Group's commitment to continually improve the efficiencies and effectiveness of our automation software products," said Gamal Balady, president and CEO of MASS Group, Inc. "We believe FactoryServer CMMS EAM 4.4 is the most comprehensive system to provide critical KPIs, such as OEE, Uptime and total cost of asset ownership (TCO). A manager will have a real time view of plant health and production status."

MASS Group's comprehensive hosted SaaS (Software as a Service) model allows companies with 5 to 500 users to leverage the full power of FactoryServer CMMS EAM with virtually no additional internal IT support. This expanded subscription software pricing model eliminates the need for a large upfront capital investment.

Four key FactoryServer CMMS EAM 4.4 enhancements:

Check In/Check Out -- a new module that tracks possession and location of assets as they are assigned to users. "Checks out" moveable assets, from electronic microscopes to drill bits, and enables users to know who has what, where, and why they have it.

Reports Module -- any user can now create their own custom reports on any of the data within CMMS or any other SQL Server database without programming knowledge or reliance on IT personnel. This powerful tool allows a user to easily and quickly pull, organize, and format any type of data necessary to make informed decisions. Reports can be accessed anytime with real time data or scheduled and emailed to FactoryServer users and/or anyone with an email address.

Asset Scheduling -- an improved asset reservation capability where calendars can now be accessed from several modules within the FactoryServer CMMS EAM software. This feature also includes a Reservation Approvals ability which provides notification of approval (or rejection) to requestors via email. An additional option reserves assets automatically via a scheduled work order.

Statistical Process Control (SPC) -- a new module that uses statistical techniques to measure and improve the reliability of processes and equipment uptime. As the data is collected, it detects any unusual variation in the process which could indicate a problem. By understanding performance trends, users are able to establish rules that support Predictive Maintenance strategies. This module brings the user closer to true Predictive Maintenance.

Other improvements to FactoryServer CMMS EAM 4.4 include predictive scheduling of work orders. Work orders are triggered and scheduled based on performance metrics, such as operational hours, mean time between failure (MTBF), and numbers of cycles.

In addition to new modules, FactoryServer CMMS EAM 4.4 continues to advance the user experience by providing greater flexibility through enhancements to its user interface. Version 4.4 leverages the full Microsoft(R).NET architecture. The result is a system that novice users can leverage along with the most experienced.

The FactoryServer CMMS EAM software is a web-based application. Any networked (Internet or Intranet) computer can access the system. Factory Server CMMS EAM software core components include: Maintenance Management; Work Order Management; Predictive Maintenance; Asset Management; Equipment Management; Contact Management; and Inventory Management.

"This release supports the strong momentum and market share growth FactoryServer CMMS EAM is experiencing on the factory floor," continued Mr. Balady. "With 4.4 we've integrated new modules and delivered major enhancements to its design, functionality and interface. The result is a solution that is easy-to-use yet extremely effective in tracking and managing inventory and assets. We are excited to introduce 4.4 to the marketplace and look forward to it helping our existing and new customers improve their business."
