ARCHIBUS, Inc. Extends Range of ARCHIBUS/FM V. 15 with New, Comprehensive Web-Based Applications

Solutions for Project Management, Capital Budgeting and Move Management Productivity for Integrated Workforce Management

November 9, 2005-Boston, Massachusetts -- ARCHIBUS, Inc., developer of the #1 Total Infrastructure and Facilities Management (TIFM) solution in the world, announced the release of FM Web Central 15. In addition to its enhanced core functionality, the latest release provides three new Web-based applications: Project Management, Capital Budgeting, and Move Management. ARCHIBUS, Inc. is also releasing Web-based activities updated to the J2EE platform-Emergency Preparedness and Asset Management.

"These new Web-based applications expand the breadth of the ARCHIBUS/FM implementation to address crucial elements in the facility and infrastructure life cycle," says Bruce K. Forbes, CEO and President of ARCHIBUS/FM. "As facilities and corporate real estate managers are asked to perform on-time, within budget projects, they need rapidly-accessed information to assist in decision-making and benchmark performance. And, since these new applications are fully integrated with other ARCHIBUS/FM applications, users can leverage existing facilities and infrastructure data, reducing their administrative burden and creating a gold standard of information for the entire organization."

Project Management
Designed from the owner's viewpoint, the new ARCHIBUS/FM Project Management application helps keep projects on schedule and within budget-by creating a central repository for a "top-down" perspective of program and project priorities, actions, and costs. Powerful analytic views can summarize the details from hundreds of projects in one convenient matrix. The product tracks property acquisition, renovation, construction, condition assessment, and move projects in one integrated view so users can coordinate interrelated milestones from different departments, disciplines, and sites.

ARCHIBUS/FM Project Management facilitates a collaborative process to allow project members to synchronize information at different locations and organizations, and streamlines project oversight via consolidated views that display milestones, tasks, and status changes. Granting all team members enterprise-access to project data simplifies communication and reduces the administrative burden. Clear, weighted performance scorecard views of multiple programs and/or projects can identify late or over-budget components at a glance that are not measuring up to benchmarked standards.

Capital Budgeting
The ARCHIBUS/FM Capital Budgeting application manages the capital budget cycle to improve strategic capital planning. It uses Web-based intelligent workflows to connect stakeholders throughout the process, aligning with an organization's overall strategic facility and infrastructure plans, and offers consoles and dashboards to help users easily visualize the project's progress.

ARCHIBUS/FM's Capital Budgeting application summarizes all capital planning activity in a consistent format to help prioritize programs and projects, coordinate activities, and budget resources. With a centralized, consistent methodology, users can manage capital budgets across multiple departments and sites. "Out-of the-box" intelligent workflows have been designed to enable "what-if' scenario planning to improve the process and reduce business interruption and cost overruns. The application integrates condition assessment, capital budgeting, and project management functions into a seamless process in order to better allocate budget and resources for complete, end-to-end planning.

Move Management
The ARCHIBUS/FM Move Management application streamlines the entire move/add/change process from single-person to multi-phased moves, reducing costs and minimizing organizational disruption. The application provides automated workflow rules ensuring that employees receive e-mail notifications of each move phase to improve communication, coordination, and collaboration between in-house and external resources.

Enhanced organization-wide communication results in increased customer satisfaction by reducing downtime and minimizing move errors.

ARCHIBUS/FM Move Management also generates trial layouts, move analytics, and intelligent dashboards which help enable continuous process improvements that align with core organizational goals. Integrating updated personnel and cost center information with existing Human Resources and Financial systems reduces redundant data entry and ensures timely, accurate data across departments or divisions.
