Vasont Systems Unveils Vasont® Release 11
Enhancements to Leading Content Management System Promote Usability and Productivity
EMIGSVILLE, Pa., April 2 / -- Vasont Systems, a leading provider of content management software and data services, today announced the release of Vasont® 11, the latest version of its powerful single-source content management system that enables organizations to store their multilingual content once for maximum reuse and delivery to multiple channels.

Vasont 11 includes the following new features.
New User Interface
Vasont boasts a dramatically improved and simplified user interface.
o Modern, navigable design: The new interface includes a modern design
with intuitive buttons and icons so users can easily navigate through
the system.
o Immediate information: Helpful detail panes bring relevant information
about the content's properties and relationships (i.e., content reuse,
versions, and metadata) to the user's fingertips for greater
productivity.
o Personalization: Vasont's Home page is personalized for each user,
displaying favorite collections, queries, and workspaces for quick
access to content. Vasont provides a current "to-do list" based on
active workflow tasks.
User Productivity Enhancements
Vasont 11 includes other productivity enhancements.
o Simplified query interface: The query window provides a "simple" view
that allows users to execute searches easily. Technical users can still
access the advanced view to build complex searches. A plain-English
query capability hides the complexity of search syntax from users in
both views.
o Variant and Normalization features: Vasont allows users to create
variants by relating similar content. Users can reuse more content by
making similar content the same using the new normalization feature.
o Refine feature: A new Refine feature allows users to narrow the scope
of displayed content to a user-defined set.
o MSWord text tracking: Vasont tracks reused content in MSWord documents
and keeps them in sync. After content in Vasont is reused in a MSWord
document, the document's owner is alerted of changes to the original
content in Vasont and can update the document.
Administrator Usability Enhancements
Vasont Administrator, the system's administrative tool, also received usability and global functionality enhancements.
o Processing option filter: Administrators can easily find and apply
appropriate processing options, Vasont's exclusive built-in business
logic, to multiple components at one time to "customize" their system.
o Relationships across content types: Vasont Administrator allows users
across multiple departments to build relationships across different
content types and relate their once-disparate content.
LDAP Integration
For organizations using LDAP, Vasont's LDAP integration allows for enterprise security with a single login per user.
Architecture Migration
Vasont's architecture migration to asynchronous server side processing allows users to continue working on their client machines while processes run.
