ADP Launches Network Video

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Feb. 2 -- The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing Inc. (NYSE:ADP) today announced the launch of its Network Video solution. Network Video is an open standards, IP-based operations center that unifies all dealership video into one command and control center and leverages the dealership investment in its data and voice network. Because Network Video is IP-based, dealers can access the images from any secure PC connection whether it is at the dealership or another remote location with Internet access.

The utilization of an IP network enables ADP's Network Video to offer applications unavailable with standard analog video systems. License Plate Recognition, an application available with Network Video, increases customer satisfaction and improves Service Department efficiencies by recognizing customer vehicles coming into the Service Drive.

"With Network Video, we can offer a proactive tool for managing the dealership as well as assisting with security needs," said Dean Bergan, vice president of network solutions at ADP Dealer Services. "Network Video turns a simple security device into a comprehensive system that can help dealerships keep more customers, improve their front-end operations and better protect their physical assets. All of this runs on the same IP network that manages phone and data systems so dealers can obtain all of the advantages of Network Video without having to install new infrastructure."

ADP Network Video is based on DVTel Network Video Management System (NVMS), an advanced network-based system architecture that enables simultaneous live monitoring from multiple stations and is easily configurable for storage both on and off site. The software can be configured to store and to view from one to thousands of cameras and monitor connections across an unlimited number of servers. DVTel is the pioneer and dominant market player in the creation, development and delivery of Multi-source Intelligence Systems over IP networks.

ADP Network Video delivers improved physical dealership security through a common operational picture that enables the ability to capture, manage, analyze, integrate and then act on previously unorganized and overly complex data. This provides improved reaction time, enhanced operator productivity and reduced dealership loss.

"With enhanced features such as motion detected alarms, real-time security alarms and remote viewing via IP Network Access, Network Video makes it easy to monitor the critical areas of your dealership -- whether dealers are in their office or even at home," said Bergan.
