Westinghouse Introduces StatePointPlus Version 3.2.0 Systems Integrity Control Suite

PITTSBURGH, May 8, 2002--Westinghouse Electric Company has announced the release of version 3.2.0 of its StatePointPlus software suite, a product of its Core Technologies group. StatePointPlus is the first technology that provides organizations with a workable, scalable, and continuous proactive strategy for pinpointing and rectifying unauthorized alterations in systems and data across the enterprise-before, during and after security breaches. This patented technology is so advanced it detects and eradicates sneaky, unauthorized in-memory processes such as Trojan Horses and Worms.

StatePointPlus delivers bottom-line control over your network and security systems. It reduces operational costs and mitigates business risks, while providing security at no additional cost. From a central control console, system administrators and security administrators can use the product to remotely and concurrently control the attributes of every software object in every computer on a network to computer specific baselines, or desired states. It controls systems integrity from inside each computer by continuously diagnosing and enforcing distributed and disparate computer configuration baselines. StatePointPlus detects and rectifies tiny incremental changes that creep into configurations over time. By managing computers at this level IT organizations can cut support costs and production losses while simultaneously speeding change to strategically needed technologies.

The new version now makes these capabilities available for the first time to users on Windows 95/98 operating systems. Other new features of his product release include:

- Instantaneous network-wide reporting of key enterprise configuration dynamics

- Network timing reports that pinpoint communication performance problems

- Pre-packaged security and operations management policies that offer out-of-the-box value

- Product and application self-healing capabilities
