Performance Technologies Further Advances Its NexusWare® Software Suite with Addition of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Stack
ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 9 /-- Performance Technologies (NASDAQ:PTIX), a leading developer of innovative network communications solutions, today announced the availability of NexusWare(R) SIP - a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) stack for the management of multimedia sessions and calls.
NexusWare SIP is delivered as an installable software package and is compliant with specification RFC3261 for SIP to ensure interoperability and effortless integration. Developers using Performance Technologies' IPnexus(R) MicroTCA(TM) and CompactPCI(R) systems can benefit from complete integration and a comprehensive development API. The extensive system scalability provided by NexusWare SIP facilitates the quick development of applications that support a wide range of next-generation IP network functions such as SIP proxies and registrars, IMS network elements, or IP-PBXs.
NexusWare SIP marks the latest addition to the company's robust NexusWare software suite, a Carrier Grade Linux(R) OS, development environment, and set of communications protocols that enables users of the company's IPnexus systems to rapidly develop and deploy value-added capabilities for their communication solutions. Other products in the NexusWare software suite include: NexusWare Portal - a remote management application for MicroTCA systems; NexusWare C7, an SS7 MTP-2 package for SS7 development; and NexusWare WAN, a set of communication protocols for equipment such as radar, sensor, and serial gateways.
