Lexington, MA - Performance Motion Devices, Inc. (PMD), a pioneer in the development of chip-based motion control, announces their new Pathfinder Contouring Software Library. Designed to be used with PMD's C-Motion(TM) Library, the Pathfinder Library enables engineers to develop complex s-curve and trapezoidal motion profiles using simple C++ function calls. Both Pathfinder and C-Motion work exclusively with PMD's Navigator multi-axis or Pilot single-axis motion control chips for brushed, brushless, stepper, and microstepper applications. The price of the Pathfinder Contouring Software Library is $4995.

The Pathfinder library provides functions for performing circular interpolation, linear interpolation, and one, two, or three-
dimensional motion using up to four axes. The library is shipped with two example interpreters for reading either a HPGL or GCODE file; this example code can also be modified to read other text or binary point data formats.
