TC Enterprise ID Suite 2007 Integrates Auto Enrollment for Microsoft CAs

NEEDHAM, Mass., Aug. 2 - GeoTrust, Inc., a leader in identity verification solutions for e-business and a leading issuer of digital certificates for Web security, today announced the availability of TC Enterprise ID Suite Version 2007, the industry's most advanced suite of digital credentialing and smart card management solutions.

TC Enterprise ID Version 2007 includes a full set of features enabling integration with a Microsoft CA to allow auto enrollment of users. TC Enterprise ID 2007 allows organizations to simplify PKI rollouts by allowing administrators to automatically apply for, issue and integrate digital certificates for all users of Microsoft Windows applications.

The new offering combines PKI digital certificate technology with the most advanced smart card management tools in the industry, providing companies of all sizes digital signatures, encryption and authentication tools in one suite. The managed services solution was developed by GeoTrust's European subsidiary, TC TrustCenter, a leading international supplier of IT security solutions.

"Industry mandates and government regulations are causing more organizations to look into digital certificate solutions, and the Enterprise ID technology can both simplify the deployment process and reduce many of the costs associated with internally developed solutions," said Neal Creighton, president and CEO of GeoTrust. "This technology is currently being used by some of Europe's largest financial institutions, utilities and government agencies, and we expect to see more U.S. organizations following that lead as they move to reduce fraud and ensure compliance with legal requirements."

TC Enterprise ID includes a management portal featuring a secure and user-friendly interface. Certificates can be automatically delivered to users via the Web interface. The process meets recognized high security standards while at the same time offering a great degree of flexibility, allowing companies to adapt the solution to meet their specific applications and requirements. The user-oriented security profile means that companies can issue and manage several certificates for authentication, encryption and signature for each user. TC Enterprise ID has a Web-based interface for monitoring active certificates and trace data, enabling automatic user notification when certificates expire. In addition, TC Enterprise ID integrates existing LDAP directories.

The SmartCard Manager is designed for companies that need to manage a large number of certificates on chip cards or USB tokens. The principle of interoperability with leading smart card printers and makers means that the SmartCard Manager can be adapted on-site to issue personalized cards and integrate company-specific databases and workflows. It also lets administrators manage software certificates on the same platform. It can be run as a managed service or operated by organizations internally.

TC Enterprise ID 2007 is now available. Prices depend on configuration and the number of users. For more information visit geotrust.com/products/client_certificates/true_credentials_enterpri seid.asp.
