FastPic IC Software Access Restriction Feature Improves Stock Control & Security
The access restriction feature of FastPic IC inventory control software from FastPic Systems gives supervisors in warehousing industries complete control over access to stored items.
The access restriction feature works in conjunction with Remstar vertical carousels and Shuttle® Vertical Lift Modules (VLM). Using the software, supervisors can either grant or limit access to specific storage trays in these units. This feature is particularly useful in applications where specialty tooling, proprietary or valuable items are stored in inventory.
The FastPic software access restriction feature lets supervisors control access on a tray-by-tray and operator-by-operator basis. The software will show an operator which trays are accessible and which are not. The feature is easy to use. The supervisor simply selects the storage device and the tray where restricted access applies, and loads a user list. Access restrictions can be easily updated.
FastPic IC software provides complete inventory control for increased levels of productivity, inventory turns, picking accuracy, and security. Inventory levels can be managed by part, work zone, operator, time period, and other categories. Dynamic space management tools maximize the use of floor space and overhead space.
