SenseIQ Unveils Release 3.0 of its InSight Platform

DALLAS, March 27 - RFID World Booth #611 - SenseIQ Inc. (www.senseiq.com), a developer of location-aware asset visibility solutions that enable more intelligent business decisions, today announced the new 3.0 Web-based version of its InSight Platform, which enables a true global picture of assets to be accessed anywhere across a business enterprise. This "zero-client" version of InSight offers a "global-map to operations-floor" view of assets while, more importantly, enabling a host of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), sensor and location-driven asset tracking, data management, business process and controls-based asset visibility solutions.

The SenseIQ(TM) InSight Platform, which supports multiple RFID and wireless data collection and location technologies operating within any middleware solution, offers an easy-to-use yet powerful set of asset visibility and business activity monitoring tools. These include the InSight Business Rules Engine, InSight Data Intelligence and Reporting Engine, InSight Asset Search Engine, and the InSight Web Services Integration Interface. The tools seamlessly interoperate, allowing existing enterprise applications to leverage real-time asset visibility capabilities without worrying about the nuances of various RFID and Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS).

"While other companies focus on RFID hardware and software solutions to track assets, essentially basic real time asset tracking, our InSight Platform is designed from the ground up to complement those RFID systems and help customers support business process applications that dramatically increase their return on their RFID investments," said Jatin Maniar, president and CEO, SenseIQ. "In short, it's not about tracking assets, it's about using asset location information coupled with semantic context to create rules and decision tools to drive smart decisions that make business sense."

The SenseIQ InSight Platform offers a flexible and intuitive interface and reporting system that lets organizations easily create a series of business rules and related actions (e.g., alerts, security access, system approval or denials, etc.) based on real-time asset visibility. For example:

o The system can instantaneously provide the location of any asset
through an intuitive interface

o The system can alert a manager when equipment or inventory is in the
wrong location or has been idle too long.

o It can create a real-time audit trail for supply chain, product
authentication or warranty and recall programs.

o The SenseIQ platform links assets to personnel and their location to
ensure proper authorization and to reduce theft.

o The platform can easily be configured to solve major issues related to lack of asset visibility resulting in improved operational
efficiencies, inventory control, compliance, security and
accountability.

The SenseIQ InSight Platform not only easily assigns information to an asset, such as a manufacturer's ID or inventory location, it creates a meaningful "context" for that asset. The semantic context determines where, for what purpose, and how the asset is supposed to interact with other business, data and asset management systems.

"A rules-based business activity monitoring system such as SenseIQ's InSight allows organizations to easily create, manage and comply with their business policies governing how and where equipment or assets are being use or managed," continued Maniar. "For example, in a hospital, a real-time location system might tell an administrator they have 50 IV pumps in various locations, but it may not reveal that 20 have been cleaned, that an unclean IV pump entered a patient's room, or that there used to be 50 pumps but now the system only sees 45."
