ARCHIBUS, Inc. Releases Major New Version of FM Web Central

Offers Personalized Access to Business Intelligence and Analytics Which Support Strategic Decision-Making

November 9, 2005-Boston, Massachusetts -- ARCHIBUS, Inc., developer of the #1 Total Infrastructure and Facilities Management (TIFM) solution in the world, announced the release of FM Web Central V.15. Originally debuted in 1997, this innovative new version provides improved business intelligence and analytics to access a wide cross-section of facilities and infrastructure management data. These tools help users generate quick, easy-to-understand views that support high-level strategic decision-making and encourage collaborative knowledge transfer.

Enables New Scale of Collaboration and Efficiency
"FM Web Central Version 15 is the most significant ARCHIBUS/FM release since our Windows-based Version 10 was launched in 1995," observes ARCHIBUS, Inc. Chief Technical Officer Steve Segarra. "Just as ARCHIBUS/FM Version 10 leveraged the emerging power of networks to connect individual contributors, FM Web Central 15 uses the power of the Internet to flow tasks and information between sites and divisions. It allows an entirely new scale of collaboration and efficiency."

Enhancements include personalized dashboard capabilities, pre-defined workflow rules, integrated document management, multi-dimensional view analysis, reporting to PDF format, Microsoft IIS integration, and more. "The new FM Web Central 15 takes an end-to-end view of physical infrastructure and facility processes and how these efforts drive the core mission of the organization forward," continues Segarra. "Features such as personalized, intelligent dashboards and multi-dimensional View Analysis organize and rationalize these processes and services into definable, visible, transparent, and measurable practices. This enables management to analyze and allocate spending wisely."

In addition to the enhancements to FM Web Central's core functionality, the new version delivers three new Web-based applications: Project Management, Capital Budgeting, and Move Management, as well as, Web-based activities within the J2EE platform-Emergency Preparedness and Asset Management.

Intelligent Dashboards Offer Instant Information Access and Analysis
FM Web Central V.15 allows users to create personalized, intelligent dashboards that grant directed access to the information they need to accomplish their specific facilities and infrastructure management goals. Information displays in easy-to-read-and-interpret charts, graphs and maps, which may be further customized to suit personal preferences, priorities and management goals. Dashboards can be easily created for casual users or key executives, encouraging a self-service environment for information dissemination.

Workflow Guidelines Speed Communication
The product includes pre-defined workflow rules, which are used in activities such as Move Management and Project Management. These rules speed communication between work groups, reduce administrative errors, eliminate follow-up phone calls and e-mails, document process and execution, and ensure consistency among various departments and sites. Workflow rules and guidelines can be easily modified and personalized to enhance each organization's own procedures and priorities.

All-In-One Document Management
Built-in document management features let users manage all facilities and infrastructure related files-including leases, work orders, purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and more-as natural extensions of tasks. The documents are incorporated into workflow processes, e-mail notifications, and status tracking, eliminating the need for a separate document management package.

Enhanced View Analysis Improves Analytic Capabilities
The new, enhanced View Analysis feature provides instant access to secure, multi-dimensional data. It enables further data analysis by category, organization, space or account hierarchies, by time-based criteria, or by corporate standards. Drill-down capabilities let users display supporting detail on any specific category or task.

Interfaces Ease Communication Among Users
FM Web Central 15 lets users easily generate PDF versions of Web-based data in a separate browser window with a single click. The data contained in the PDF file complies with any security restrictions that may have been placed on it, ensuring that the easy-to-share file contains only the data that is relevant to a user's needs. Meanwhile, the product provides high-speed data integration and access with Microsoft Internet Information Service and Active Directory, enabling seamless authentication and deployment-all with single sign-on features.

Support for AutoCAD® 2006
ARCHIBUS/FM Web Central V.15 also supports AutoCAD® 2006, the next generation design software from Autodesk, Inc. A long-time member of the Autodesk Developer Network, ARCHIBUS, Inc. is focused on helping its customers realize true efficiency gains in enterprise space and asset management. The new features in AutoCAD 2006 make it much easier for ARCHIBUS customers to extract lifecycle information from their existing architectural designs and use this data for strategic planning, lease management, asset disposition, emergency preparedness, and other mission-critical facilities/infrastructure functions.

FM Web Central V.15 (English) is now available to both new and existing users. Current users who participate in the ARCHIBUS Annual Software Subscription program receive the enhancements upon request, with no additional charge. End-users with previous versions of FM Web Central can upgrade for a fee. The upgrade includes documentation in both printed and electronic formats.
