Strohl Systems Releases LDRPS 10

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., July 11 // -- Strohl Systems has announced that the latest version of its industry leading business continuity management software, LDRPS 10, has been released. The new version is designed to provide planning expertise to organizations of all sizes, to be accessed from anywhere at anytime and through the use of new technologies, provide a tool that requires minimum training and BCP experience.

"Extensive market research and ongoing, open dialogue with our users, has ensured that LDRPS 10 will not only make business continuity planning easier and more comprehensive, but will make BCP accessible to more organizations," said Brian Turley, President of Strohl Systems. "This release represents tens of thousands of man-hours of development and interactions with our customers. We have invested more time, money and resources into this effort than any other release in the history of Strohl Systems."

With LDRPS 10, the product is available through an On Demand ASP subscription service option for the first time. This means no hardware installation or software maintenance is required to build plans using LDRPS. The product is scaled for use by organizations of any size and features a newly designed, easy-to-use interface that simplifies the planning process and decreases the time to build plans and train new users.

"The new user interface makes it much easier to build business continuity plans," said Ron Colaizzi, Global Business Continuity Manager with Cabot Microelectronics Corporation, who was one of the Beta testers of LDRPS 10. "I was able to start building business continuity plans which are based on best practices immediately."

Cabot Microelectronics Corporation is the world's leading supplier of chemical mechanical planarization slurry which helps flatten and polish silicon wafers to a near-perfect smoothness, critical in semiconductor and data storage manufacturing. With facilities in nine countries and over 650 employees, Cabot's products play a critical role in the production of the most advanced semiconductor devices.

"The release of LDRPS 10 vividly illustrates that Strohl Systems listens to their customers," said Colaizzi. "From the graphical call tree to the dependency map, things I and other users have requested have been incorporated into the product. In addition, the product still has the comprehensive BCP experience and knowledge we have come to expect from Strohl."

LDRPS 10 will be available in three distinct and scalable versions to accommodate an organization's planning requirements:

o LDRPS Essential will benefit organizations that are seeking to automate the business continuity planning process.
o LDRPS Professional was developed to accommodate organizations that have a larger number of concurrent users and those with a need for customization.
o LDRPS Enterprise is designed to provide larger organizations with robust planning and functionality.

The On Demand subscription is available in LDRPS Essential and Professional. Perpetual license versions of LDRPS 10 Professional and Enterprise will be available in the near future.

Other key new features of LDRPS 10 include:

o A Plan Navigator that helps planners follow a logical and consistent sequence of planning tasks. It offers a built-in methodology and guidance based on years of consulting experience, research and development that asks users questions and prompts them for the data needed to complete their plans;
o A Dependency Map which is a completely new graphic display of internal and external processes, hardware and application relationships. It better enables planners to recognize dependencies and interactions;
o A graphical call list that will enable users to drag, drop and add employees, vendors, customers and their alternates to the call list with ease;
o Over 200 built-in standard reports that can be used as the foundation for building customized output or used as is;
o Location Resource Manager which provides users the ability to make informed decisions regarding over-allocation or under utilization at an alternate site as well as inventory and document available resources. This tool can be used during planning to optimize hot/cold site contracts or during incidents to find the location that best suits an organization's needs; and
o LDRPS 10 has been developed using new technology, making it faster and more flexible than ever before. It now uses the Microsoft .NET framework and includes support for SQL Server, SQL Server Express and Oracle database platforms.
