Emerson Releases Improved Software for Enabling Users to Control Contamination of Machine Oils

CSI OilView® lubricant evaluation software module features improved interpretation of analytical results.

KNOXVILLE, TN (October XX, 2002) - Emerson Process Management's enhanced OilView® module for the CSI RBMware 4.70 software features precise computation of oil contaminant parts per million (PPM) and size distribution, which are totally new attributes for evaluation of machine oils. Particle concentration and size distribution are key characteristics studied by industrial oil analysts to determine the severity of lubricant contamination and corrective action to be taken.

Improved scheduling of sample taking, precise particle sizing, automated sample diagnosis including graphical representation of wear and contamination, statistical alarm limits, and improved trend plots are other important attributes of the OilView software version 4.70. New shortcuts in documentation and templates for 17 types of automatic reports are included in the enhanced software.

The OilView software receives, stores, and interprets data from an on-site analytical minilab, the Emerson Oil Analysis Laboratory, or independent analytical labs. For more information regarding OilView software version 4.70 for machine oil analysis, call 865-675-21 10 or visit the CSI website at CSImeansReliability.com.
