LitePoint Releases Production Test Software for CSR's UniFi(TM), the World's Smallest WiFi Chipset

LitePoint IQfact(TM) for CSR's UniFi Enables Low-Cost Manufacturing for WiFi and
WiFi /Bluetooth + EDR Integrated Devices on LitePoint One-Box Testers

SUNNYVALE, CA (USA) - February 14, 2006 - LitePoint Corporation and CSR plc (LSE: CSR.L), today announced the availability of the LitePoint IQfact(TM) production test software for CSR's UniFi(TM) WiFi chipsets. The software package, currently available in single-user and site-license versions, runs on the world's leading one-box testers, IQview® and IQflex(TM) from LitePoint. The IQfact software is the only test solution available on the market today that enables single-pass testing of products with integrated WiFi and Bluetooth v2.0+EDR technologies, saving substantial manufacturing costs over dual-pass testing. CSR will be demonstrating the software along with its UniFi, the world's smallest WiFi silicon, at 3GSM World Congress, February 13-16, 2006, in Barcelona, Spain.

The IQfact for CSR's UniFi software integrates seamlessly into existing LitePoint IQview and IQflex API, allowing simple turnkey testing of CSR UniFi-based devices - for both R&D and manufacturing applications. IQview and IQflex software currently supports 802.11a/b/g and turbo mode WiFi testing as well as the next generation MIMO products. When the dual RF port testers are used with both IQfact for CSR and LitePoint Bluetooth software with CSR test programs, they save time for OEMs by allowing one-pass testing of CSR's WiFi / Bluetooth v2.0+EDR integrated products. LitePoint IQfact for CSR comes complete with WiFi manufacturing test programs including setup, calibration and verification tests through an easy-to-use graphical user interface. User access to test flow, limits and set-up parameters is available with support for Media Access Control (MAC) address assignment and data logging is also included.

Dr. Benny Madsen, CEO for LitePoint commented, "As the market leader in WLAN testing, LitePoint is excited about adding support for CSR's UniFi products. As always our IQfact family of easy-to-use production test solutions will enable CSR's customers to get to market faster with the lowest possible cost." Madsen continued, "Being the first to support multiple wireless standards on a single platform that can deliver exceptional performance further reflects our commitment to supply complete low-cost test solutions to our customers."

Simon Finch, VP strategic marketing for CSR commented, "LitePoint is able to deliver fast and cost-effective test solutions for CSR's growing base of customers with converged wireless products." Finch added, "LitePoint's IQfact testing software for UniFi single-chip devices is expected to increase the adoption of UniFi and further address size, power, performance, and cost needs."

About CSR
CSR plc is the leading global provider of Bluetooth technology and has developed expertise in other single-chip wireless communication standards such as WiFi (IEEE802.11). CSR offers developed hardware/software solutions for Bluetooth based around BlueCore, a fully integrated 2.4 GHz radio, baseband and microcontroller.

CSR has now launched its fifth generation BlueCore suite and is in volume manufacture of its fourth generation BlueCore devices. BlueCore4 supports the Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) standard, which was ratified at the end of 2004. BlueCore4 remains the only EDR silicon to be shipping in volume today. In November 2004 CSR launched UniFi, the first-single chip 802.11a/b/g embedded solution specifically targeting the mobile phone and consumer electronics markets.

BlueCore features in over 50 per cent of all Bluetooth devices shipped and over 60 per cent of all qualified Bluetooth enabled products and modules listed on the Bluetooth website with industry leaders including Nokia, Dell, Panasonic, Sharp, Motorola, IBM, Apple, NEC, Toshiba, RIM and Sony using BlueCore devices in their range of Bluetooth products.

In March 2005, CSR acquired Clarity Technologies Inc., for its Clear Voice Capture (CVC) technology that enhances the audio performance of any voice-based product or system. Applications for CVC include wireless headsets, handsets and automotive hands free systems.

In August 2005, CSR completed the acquisition of UbiNetics' software business, providing a strong R&D team to accelerate its existing software development in Bluetooth, WiFi and UWB. The UbiNetics team gives CSR the capacity to extend its offering to mobile handset customers.
