o Allows you to connect to networks (E1 systems) that support Generic ITU SS7 Message Transfer Part (MTP) and Generic ITU Integrated Services Digital Network User Part (ISUP) protocols only

o Supports inbound and outbound calls using SS7 ISUP

o Provides support for ETSI Q.761 (SS7) standard and country variants

o Supports fault-tolerant, dual LAN, fully redundant SS7 capability using an active/hot standby configuration with multiple WebSphere Voice Response systems

o Coexists with other WebSphere Voice Response for AIX function such as Single System Image, Voice Recognition, and Text to Speech

o Provides optional resiliency using an active/hot standby configuration

o Can extend support to applications that use other SS7 functions such as Transaction Capabilities Application Part (TCAP) protocol and Mobile Access Protocol (MAP)

o Supports multiple SS7 signalling links and link sets

Overview
IBM SS7 Call Manager for WebSphere® Voice Response for AIX® provides the connectivity required to attach WebSphere Voice Response AIX to SS7 networks in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa only. IBM SS7 Call Manager for WebSphere Voice Response AIX provides fault-tolerant, highly resilient SS7 connectivity to ITU SS7 networks for the following products:

o WebSphere Voice Response for AIX
o IBM Unified Messaging for WebSphere Voice Response
o IBM SS7 Call Manager for WebSphere Voice Response for AIX can be used to control calls into, and out of, up to four WebSphere Voice Response systems using up to 1440 simultaneous two-way channels across the four WebSphere Voice Response systems.
