Original Press Release:

New AIM Software Shares Real-Time Factory Floor Information Throughout the Enterprise

Napoleon, Ohio, February 3, 2004 -- A new modular and customizable manufacturing software program has been announced by Automatic Feed's AIM Business Unit. Called AIM (Automation Integration Manager), this easy-to-use program suite is designed to not only boost productivity, but to seamlessly integrate real-time plant floor information into the corporate financial structure. AIM allows a manufacturer to know -- in real time -- equipment status, maintenance requirements and productivity levels of every machine in a plant, assembling all the information into a seamless reporting system that integrates with a company's current ERP system.

A key differentiator for the AIM program suite is that it was developed by shop-floor people who understand the real-world needs of machine operators, production managers and machine builders. AIM has the ability to integrate machine control PLCs with PCs and LAN/WAN systems, simplifying tasks for those that use and maintain the plant floor equipment that AIM supports. The modules can be customized for a variety of needs concentrating on three areas of manufacturing -- maintenance, production and operations.

Maintenance modules can be configured to troubleshoot equipment maintenance problems quickly and effectively. Functions include machine control, extensive diagnostics and repair information all in one easy-to-use software package.

The Production modules provide the necessary management tools that make a shop more productive. Recipe storage provides easy production changeover and diagnostic tools help to quickly and efficiently identify and diagnose equipment problems. In addition, a reporting function allows users to configure a variety of reports including real-time production reports, production history, and downtime investigation.

Designed with corporate management in mind, an Operations suite can be configured from a number of modules. Users at any corporate location have access to an overview of the entire production system, recipe management, and customized data reporting. This reporting function provides corporate management a real-time, in-depth view of exactly what is occurring on the plant floor.

AIM software is currently used by DaimlerChrysler, Ford, General Motors, Toyota, and Nissan, as well as many Tier One automotive suppliers. For more information on AIM software and the AIM Systems Team, visit www.Automation-Manager.com.
