Publish Solid Edge Drawings & Models With Visual Rights(TM) For Fast & Accurate Viewing With Free Brava! ® and ModelPress Readers
PHOENIX, Arizona January 28, 2004 - Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in collaboration technology, released its Net-It® CAD plug-in for Solid Edge® to enable controlled visual sharing of design data. Net-It CAD for Solid Edge offers users a fast, easy-to-use, and content-secure way of publishing design files and models for viewing with IGC's free readers.
As a Solid Edge-installed plug-in, Net-It CAD converts Solid Edge design files to "content sealed format" (CSF/3DF) files viewable by IGC viewing products. Published drawings are normally much smaller than equivalent Adobe PDFs and feature IGC's Visual Rights(TM) technology, a comprehensive security framework that is integrated with the publishing process. Visual Rights includes persistent security controls that are manually applied to the published drawing or model. Authors can expire visualization rights, enable password protection, allow/disallow plotting, copying, and measurement. Solid Edge 2D/3D files published by Net-It CAD are highly compressed - by as much as 98%. The CSF/3DF format provides an efficient way to distribute models and drawing files for controlled visualization. Net-It CAD publishes design files by using the CAD system's API, which ensures more accurate fidelity compared to de-engineered methods of extracting data for viewing. Published drawings can be viewed, printed and measured (based on Visual Rights) using IGC's free Brava! and ModelPress desktop and web-based viewers.
