New APT(TM) System Software Demonstration
Ely, UK - Melles Griot has released new software that demonstrates the flexibility and adaptability of their new APT alignment system. The APT system provides USB connectivity, client/server-based software, and an intuitive graphical user interface result in out-of-the-box operation without the need for additional, often expensive, interface cards or software development. The operator interacts directly with the APT controllers via intuitive graphical instrument panels that expose all key operating parameters and modes. These convenient, resizable, instrument panels are implemented as ActiveX® controls and can be inserted into customized software applications without the need for additional coding. Third-party software applications can be modified in minutes to incorporate all of the enhanced interface features supplied by the APT software. Custom programmable access is also possible using
a rich set of ActiveX methods, properties, and events.
The demonstration software runs under any Windows® 98, ME, 2000, or XP host PC and was developed by the Melles Griot Center of Excellence for Motion and Vibration Control in ELY, UK.
