New ObjectVideo Products Enable Partners to Create Intelligent Devices Throughout Video Ecosystem

Updated Products Offer Many New Features on Common Platform

RESTON, Va., Feb. 28 /-- ObjectVideo®, the leader in intelligent video, today announces the availability of ObjectVideo VEW® 3.0, ObjectVideo OnBoard(TM) 3.0 and ObjectVideo Forensics(TM) 3.0. The three products are now delivered with a common platform, enabling original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and integrators to quickly and easily incorporate ObjectVideo's market-leading intelligent video capabilities into their security solutions.

The new versions of the ObjectVideo product suite offer simple installation and integration for OEM and integrator partners, and expanded flexibility in the implementation of intelligent video solutions. For example, with ObjectVideo OnBoard 3.0, OEMs can use advanced object tracking and system alerts as triggers for a variety of video management functions. OEMs can also build their own rule management applications, or make rule-driven responses to ObjectVideo alerts directly within their device, effectively applying intelligence across the entire video ecosystem. These new capabilities allow users to tightly control how video is streamed, distributed, and stored.

ObjectVideo OnBoard offers full rule support for OEM intelligent devices, including "loitering," "object left behind," "object taken away," and "multiple tripwire," rules. This means that all ObjectVideo intelligent video real-time analysis features are available to OEMS and integrators for use in either server-based OR embedded software installations, as well as for archived analysis using ObjectVideo Forensics.

"The ObjectVideo product suite truly enables the creation of smart devices in an efficient and cost-effective way -- making intelligent video accessible to markets outside security, and spurring widespread adoption," said Alan Lipton, Chief Technology Officer, ObjectVideo.

Recognizing ObjectVideo's position as the global standard in intelligent video applications, ObjectVideo VEW 3.0 includes internationalized versions of all client applications, enabling the creation of local language versions for security users everywhere. Additional new features include ObjectVideo Leader/Follower. This feature is unique to Object Video; enabling a "leader" camera equipped with ObjectVideo analytics to control a "follower" PTZ camera to zoom in and continuously track targets upon alert. Tracking and detection performance is also enhanced specifically for cases where objects are temporarily obscured or are in a crowded scene, and suspicious object detection offers alert-specific leave-behind times for superior detection and alerting.
