Overview
IBM Tivoli® OMEGAMON® DE on z/OS® V3.1.0:

The IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON Dashboard Edition provides the capabilities to consolidate information from all of the OMEGAMON XE products. It presents integrated zSeries® major systems and components in a single view to the user. It allows the capability to combine alerts coming from multiple OMEGAMON XE products (for example, z/OS, CICS®, DB2®, IMS(TM), Network, Storage, Linux(TM) on zSeries, and so forth) to create integrated views of the IT resources that comprise a specific workload. It also supports quick and easy analysis in identifying where a problem effecting a workload is occurring.

IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON DE on z/OS can be used to integrate information from the mainframe OMEGAMON products as well as the distributed OMEGAMON and IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.1 agents to view workloads and IT environment across the enterprise. IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON DE on z/OS supports the IBM IT Service Management solutions through integrating the monitoring and management of all the critical resources associated with key business workloads. Integrating these capabilities with effective event and incident management processes can improve the overall availability of IT service delivery.

The product includes a graphical workflow editor to define comprehensive automation routines and a policy manager that controls automated actions. This extends the standard OMEGAMON XE take action function to provide sophisticated "if/or then" actions to enhance the automated corrective actions of the OMEGAMONs. The solution provides extensive integration that can assist customers with optimizing the time and costs associated with avoiding or isolating, analyzing, and resolving IT incidents.
