Autotask Corporation Releases New Low-Cost, Self-Serve Edition - Autotask(R) Go!(TM); and Beefs up and Renames Core Offering, Autotask® Pro(TM)

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y., Sept. 28 -- Autotask Corporation, a leading provider of web-based business management software for IT service providers, today announced Autotask Go!, a simplified edition designed specifically for solution providers with three or fewer employees. It combines basic service desk, customer management, billing and reporting functionality in a single, integrated, hosted solution.

With a fixed price of just $99 per month and no start-up fees, Autotask Go! is aimed at IT services micro businesses that make up a large piece of the channel.

For the rest of the channel, Autotask also announced today a major new release of its flagship software solution, renamed Autotask Pro, and upgraded all existing hosted subscribers for free.

In announcing the new edition, Autotask Corporation CEO Bob Godgart explained, "Every service provider and MSP, regardless of size, can run their businesses better if they have all of their critical customer and service information managed through a single integrated business management tool. Autotask will accept initial orders of Autotask Go! exclusively from attendees of the SMB Nation 2007 tradeshow in Redmond, WA on September 29 and 30. The new Autotask Pro release includes the following major enhancements:

-- Improved Workflow Associated With Service Tickets. A completely new interface design provides an at-a-glance interface to all key information used by service personnel on one screen. Autotask users can now instantly add time entries, costs, notes or attachments, or create a service call, from the ticket form rather than from multiple parts of the application. This new user interface dramatically reduces the time and number of clicks to perform these key repetitive tasks.

-- Improved Quoting Capabilities for Recurring Services and MSPs. Autotask users can now generate comprehensive quotes for recurring services, managed services, and software as a service (SaaS) offerings. Users can easily quote separate monthly unit prices per device (like price per firewall, server or desktop), quote a price per user or quote a fixed price based on a complex service bundle. In addition, the new quoting update allows electronic quotes to be sent and reviewed online and then updated in real time as changes are made.

-- Automatic Creation of Contracts from Managed Services Quotes. Once a sale is closed, the automated workflow process creates a recurring service contract for monthly tracking and billing. Anytime the number devices or other service quantity is changed, Autotask will automatically apply pro-rated changes to the recurring monthly bill.

-- Improved Asset Integration for MSPs. Autotask Pro can now use the Asset Discovery functions of compatible Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools to identify changes in the customer's asset or device quantity, which will automatically revise recurring Managed Services billing.

-- New Inventory Module. Autotask Pro includes a new basic inventory module that can be used to keep track of equipment, hardware, software, and supplies that the service providers have in their warehouses and trucks, as well as installed products at the customer sites. A tech using Autotask pro can easily add inventory items to a service ticket which reduces the inventory level and captures each inventory item for billing. Items for return (RMA) are also tracked.

-- All-new Global Search. A new global search feature on the new main navigation bar allows users to quickly find accounts, contacts, service tickets and help at any time from anywhere in the product.

-- Upgraded Autotask LiveMobile(TM). The optional Autotask LiveMobile(TM) add-on, which provides real-time access the Autotask system from any mobile device with internet access, has been significantly enhanced with new CRM and service ticket features.

Despite the significant enhancements and additional functionality, the company has not increased the start-up or monthly fees for Autotask Pro. The base price remains at just $275 per month, and includes up to five named users. Additional users may be added at any time for $55 per month.
