LAS VEGAS, CTIA WIRELESS 2006, April 5 / -- To ensure that mobile workers have access to critical corporate data whenever and wherever they need it, Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) today announced the general availability of Oracle(R) Database Lite 10g Release 2 for Symbian OS(TM), the mobile operating system that powers today's most popular smartphones. Oracle has also added several Systems Integrators (SIs) to its growing list of partners supporting Oracle Database Lite 10g for Symbian OS. Symbian OS is licensed by the world's leading mobile phone manufacturers and to date, close to 60 million phones based on Symbian OS have shipped worldwide to over 250 major network operators.

With mobile technologies playing a critical role for employees across a wide array of industries, maintaining centralized control over management, security and application functionality has become increasingly important.
