QuikCycle Unveils New Solution to Accelerate Network Lab Testing

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 20 -- QuikCycle(TM), Inc, a leader in solutions for lab and test automation, announced today the release of unique, new AutoLab software designed to provide a powerful, easy-to-use solution for automating laboratory test environments for telecommunications companies and network equipment manufacturers. As a result, companies can accelerate the time to market for new services or products through better optimizing test resources.
QuikCycle AutoLab(TM) software provides test organizations with the ability to create an automated lab environment that better supports collaboration, scheduling and use of valuable resources at each step in the testing lifecycle, combined with lab access and control from anywhere in the world at any time of the day, for 24 X 7 lights-out testing.
Service providers can use AutoLab to meet critical test requirements for device inventory and control, resource scheduling and allocation, connectivity and configuration management, tracking and reporting. The newest version of AutoLab enhances the software's functionality in 3 important ways:
1. An intuitive, graphical interface lets end-users dynamically create test topologies on-the-fly, either at the physical or logical layer, through simply dragging and dropping devices in inventory onto the AutoLab desktop and connecting them to the network. The easy-to-use interface unifies all functions in the application, including integration with QuikCycle AutoTest software, so that each step in the test lifecycle is quickly accessible.
2. Device discovery allows lab management to remotely identify what devices are in inventory. Testers can quickly determine if devices are available for testing, saving time and manual effort hunting them down. Further, lab management can be better assured that valuable equipment is frequently in use.
3. Customized reporting provides the ability to gain added insights into the status of the testing process and its results. The report generator includes standardized templates, as well as the flexibility for creating custom reports as may be required.
