AT&T Mobile Enterprise Applications Extends and Manages Critical Business Applications from Data Center to Mobile Workers

DALLAS, Sept. 22 /-- AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced new capabilities to extend an array of applications to mobile devices that are used by companies in targeted vertical industries.

AT&T Mobile Enterprise Applications offers hosted and managed mobile integration solutions and application consulting services for companies that want to extend their business-critical information to mobile employees. Supported by the Antenna Mobility Platform(TM) (AMP) developed by Antenna Software, a leading provider of mobile enterprise technologies and solutions, AT&T is expanding its delivery of mobile field service automation, sales force automation and information technology support applications.

The new mobility services announced today extends AT&T's efforts to deliver and support mobile applications to companies, both directly and by working with companies in industries that include manufacturing, financial services, consumer packaged goods, retail trade, construction, transportation, utilities, government, education and health care. AT&T serves the mobility communications and application needs of thousands of companies in the United States and globally.

Today's announcement is the latest milestone in AT&T's focus on broadening its capabilities in the delivery and support of line-of-business mobile application solutions.

Over the past three years, AT&T has created an industry solutions mobility applications practice that is focused on delivering enhanced productivity through real time information and location-based services to enterprises in select vertical industries.

"One of the key challenges for global organizations is managing the complexity of mobilizing multiple applications to the many different and constantly evolving devices, with the added layer of dealing with multiple service providers to provide this capability," said Ron Spears, group president, AT&T Global Business Services. "AT&T Mobile Enterprise Applications helps remove the complexity and provides the single point of contact to help deliver mobile applications to companies virtually anytime, anywhere and regardless of device. That can only be good news for companies seeking to become more efficient while improving customer satisfaction."

With AT&T Mobile Enterprise Applications, customers can host their application in an AT&T data center, providing on-demand access to applications, or they can run the applications behind their own firewall on their own premises. Accessible through AT&T's leading smartphone devices, it supports three primary applications: sales force automation, which provides sales organizations with a complete view across all facets of a customer relationship; field force automation, which provides field service workers with bi-directional access to real-time customer, inventory and other job-related information; and IT support, which empowers IT technicians with real-time, virtually anywhere access to time sensitive, incident and problem management information.

"CIOs and IT organizations are recognizing more than ever that mobility is going to impact every part of their operations and change the way business gets done," said Jim Hemmer, president and chief executive officer, Antenna Software. "Antenna is proud to deliver the technology that supports AT&T Mobile Enterprise Applications and to work with AT&T to help organizations embrace mobility solutions for real-time data interaction and collaboration. We have successfully worked with AT&T to help mobilize its own field service and sales organizations with this solution, and we look forward to offering the same capabilities jointly to AT&T's customers."

"More and more of our customers are seeking ways to access and retrieve information from remote locations and this new AT&T Mobile Enterprise Applications service provides a comprehensive way for them to do so," said Anthony Lye, senior vice president of Oracle CRM. "This new service leverages Oracle applications to ultimately enable remote workers to utilize their critical business applications from an AT&T mobile device."

AT&T offers the largest portfolio of business-focused wireless devices, all of which are enabled for international voice and data usage, as well as offers the broadest portfolio of wireless solutions for businesses.
