OneSpace Collaboration release 11.6 adds significant value for customers looking to make drastic improvements to their engineering design process
FORT COLLINS, Colo., and SINDELFINGEN, Germany - September 24, 2002 - CoCreate Software, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative product development software, today announced new capabilities for OneSpace Collaboration. This release is specifically designed to improve engineering design processes involving documents, 2D drawings and 3D models. Driven by customer requests, new functionality includes:
o Work-alone mode. In the past, OneSpace Collaboration was specifically designed for real-time interactive online meetings. OneSpace Collaboration 11.6 now includes features to support working alone, as well as interactively. This gives users powerful tools when preparing for real-time meetings, including the ability to view, inspect, markup and even modify designs. Additionally, users who begin by working alone can quickly and easily initiate a real-time meeting from within the OneSpace application, inviting others with seamless and secure "click to join" email invitations.
o Advanced 3D cross-sectioning. This feature provides users with flexible internal 3D model views for inspection and mark-up.
o Integrated private and public chat. CoCreate customers can complement their real-time collaboration and add clarity to regular phone communication with online chat. A chat record is automatically captured into the permanent record of the real-time meeting.
o Microsoft Office native file rendering. OneSpace Collaboration 11.6 supports 100% accurate PowerPoint, Word and Excel file viewing. Users can bring all documentation that supports the engineering design process into the meeting environment.
o Connection improvements. Intelligent proxy detection, faster application launch time and more efficient file transfers bring all key stakeholders into OneSpace Collaboration meetings faster and more easily than before.
