7.6 Tool Moves Strategic IT/Software Asset Management an Important Step Ahead
SEATTLE, March 28 / -- Express Metrix, the leader in PC inventory and software usage metering solutions, has added to its reputation for producing the market's most cutting-edge IT/Software Asset Management (IT/SAM) solutions with the latest release of its flagship product, Express Software Manager Professional. Express Software Manager Professional 7.6, released today, provides integrated PC inventory, software usage tracking, and application control -- all in one central management location.

Barker added that 7.6 provides the capability to customize the purchasing information stored to meet the unique needs of their organization, including parameters such as number of licenses, cost, serial numbers, maintenance expiration dates and purchase order details. Customers will be able to customize as many fields as necessary.
Additional product improvements are readily apparent in Express Metrix's 7.6 solution. By collecting Product ID's, Express Software Manager Professional 7.6 now is able to determine whether the product was installed from a retail, OEM or MSDN CD. The new files panel search capability, whereby files can be searched and filtered based on name, path, machine, size, et al, allows for quick file configuration. Finally, reports for purchasing the product ID's have been added to the already comprehensive reporting console, which now includes over 70 prefigured reports.
