Single Row AMP Micro MATE-N-LOK Connectors Now Available
HARRISBURG, Pa., January 4 - Tyco Electronics today announced the release of a single row version of the AMP Micro MATE-N-LOK 3mm-pitch soft-shell connector system. The wire-to- board, pin and receptacle system features dual-beam contacts for improved mating area and high temperature housings for IR processing. Single row contacts on 3mm centerlines accommodate installations where a thin, tight connector capable of handling up to five amps is required. The Micro MATE-N-LOK single-row connector has specific application in garage door openers, household appliances and gaming equipment. It can provide power and signal I/O and power interface interconnections.
Micro MATE-N-LOK connectors are available in two through 12 positions. Header configurations include vertical and right angle. Both styles are available in either through hole or surface mount with either plastic or mechanical hold-downs. The surface mount product is also available with a surface mount hold down. Receptacle Contacts are designed for 20-24 AWG wire or 26-30 AWG. Header and receptacle housings are constructed of 94V-0 nylon. All header pin and receptacle contacts are brass and are available in tin and 15 or 30 micro-inch gold plating.
Contacts are rated for 250 V and 5.0 amps maximum.Vertical headers with tin plated contacts are priced at $0.083 each per line for six positions and up in quantities of 5,000. The receptacle housings are priced at $0.024 each per line for six positions and up in quantities of 5,000.
