ITW Switches Announces Unique, New, Low-Cost, 'Snap-In' Solid-State Surface Mount Pushbutton Switches



Buffalo Grove, Ill. -- ITW Switches has announced a new concept in surface mount, solid-state switches. These unique, new, low-cost Series 39-8 "snap-in" miniature pushbutton switches allow the customer to apply and process a Hall-effect chip and LED (optional) to a printed circuit board. Then the customer simply snaps the 39-8 actuator in place. This can be done manually or robotically, completing a totally process-compatible pushbutton switching system.

The new Series 39-8 is ideally suited for application in all industries requiring PC boards, especially the medical, consumer electronics, telecommunications, computer, and automotive sectors.

Available in momentary or maintained action, the new Series 39-8 can be LED lighted or non-lighted. It's RoHS compatible and has a three-year warranty. Pricing is in the $1.50 range for 1,000 pieces.
