Snap-In 5/32 Inch Panel Mount LEDs Shine Visibly In Any Light Situation

TORRANCE, CA - May 19, 2006 - LEDtronics® announces PP156 Series 5/32" (4mm) Dome LED Lens Light that is visible in any lighting, including bright sunlight. The versatile PP156 series of LED makes a great panel indicator in most panel applications. The construction of this LED allows for great visibility, including in direct sunlight when it may be too bright to see your typical bulb light up. With the PP156 series LED, you will no longer have to worry about not seeing your light turn on or ever having to use your hand to shield the sun to see your indicator. These LEDs make great status indicators for automotive applications, appliances, hand-tools, power plants, waste-water plants, and other control panels. The PP156 Series Dome LED is available in waterclear, diffused, or low-cost diffused styles, perfect for many situations. All the PP156 series LEDs come with 6" wire leads or terminals for easy installation and is ideal for panel thickness from .031" (0.8mm) to 0.187" (4.8mm).

The waterclear LED is available in colors of 660nm Ultra Red, 595nm Super Yellow, 8000K Super White, 525nm Super Green, and 470nm Super Blue and runs on 5V, 12/14V, and 24/28V ranges. The Ultra Red gives off a dazzling 400 millicandelas (MCD), the Super Yellow radiates 350MCD. while the 5V Super White emits 250MCD and the 24/28V Super White illuminates 125MCD. Super Green LEDs provide 300MCD while the 5V Super Blue gives out 400MCD and the 12/14V version give out 200MCD. All these waterclear styles can be clearly seen at 30° viewing angles.

The diffused dome lens model offers the same great daytime visibility but at a wider 45° viewing angle and a frosted lens style. The 660nm Ultra Red 5V variation gives off 700MCD. The 12/24V and 24/28V versions both radiate at a brilliant 350MCD.

Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious to shock, vibration, frequent switching, and environmental extremes. With an average life span of 100,000-plus hours (11 years), LED lamps operate more than 20 times longer than the equivalent incandescent lamp! Savings from reduced maintenance costs and downtime quickly return the capital investment expenditure! LED lamps produce almost no heat and require 80% - 90% less operating power than equivalent incandescents, making them as friendly to the environment as they are to the operating budget.

Founded in 1983, LEDtronics® leads where others only follow when it comes to designing, manufacturing and packaging state-of-the-art LEDs to meet the world's constantly changing lighting needs. Our inventive product line encompasses an array of direct incandescent lamp replacement Based LEDs, low-cost snap-in and relampable Panel Mount LEDs, high intensity sunlight-visible Discrete LEDs, PCB LEDs circuit board status indicators, surface mount diodes SMT LEDs, full-spectrum rainbow RGB LEDs and Infra-Red (IR) LEDs.

Prices for PP156 Series 5/32" (4mm) Dome Lens LED Light retail for $1.75 to $5.50 depending on style. Large quantity discounts are available. Availability is stock to 4 - 6 weeks for special requirements. PP156 Lights carry a 3-year limited warranty.
