Snap-Action Rotary Switches

WEYMOUTH, MA - The Series 101 Snap-Action Rotary Switch from Electroswitch provides a durable solution for a wide variety of industrial applications.

The Series 101 Snap-Action Rotary Switch is available in two configurations with four-hole or single-hole mounting, depending on the application. Both models have continuous ratings of 20 amps at 600 volts. Designed to withstand shock, vibration, and other severe conditions, they have double-wiping, low-resistance contacts that maintain their set positions inside fully enclosed decks and deliver high-performance DC or AC switching.

The snap-action design of the Series 101 Switch assures quick make and break action (approximately 10-millisecond transfer time) that is not dependent on the operator. Contacts are enclosed in molded phenolic insulating disks, but to minimize resistance and heating, the stationary contacts extend outside the disks and serve as connecting terminals. Non-shorting (break-before-make) contacts are standard, and shorting (make-before-break) contacts are available on order. An optional "sweep" contact maintains the connection with the rotor through consecutive positions. Other options include spring return, waterproof mounts, and base mounts.

The four-hole-mount Series 101 Snap-Action Rotary Switches are available with a choice of seven different circuits and can be configured with up to 4 positions and up to 12 poles. Rotation is unlimited and continuous in both directions but can be limited at the factory to two or three customer-specified positions. There are four standard handle shapes.

The single-hole-mount Series 101 Snap-Action Rotary Switches are available with a choice of seven circuits and can be configured with up to 4 positions and up to 6 poles. Rotation is unlimited and continuous in both directions. Other features are available as options.

The insulating materials in Series 101 Switches are rated NEMA Class A (to 105° C). Insulation resistance is 100 Megohms minimum. Approvals for Series 101 Switches include UL File No. E18174 and CSA File No. LR20743. Prices start at $45.00 with delivery beginning @ 2 weeks ARO.
