Snap-Action Military Switches

WEYMOUTH, MA - Electroswitch announces the availability of Snap-Action Rotary Switches for rugged and reliable military use. Produced in a variety of designs, they can be configured for specialized applications.

Electroswitch Snap-Action Rotary Military Switches comply with pertinent military specifications for AC or DC switching in high-shock, high-vibration environments. Available in a large selection of electrical ratings and contact configurations, they provide quick make and break action (approx. 10 milliseconds contact transfer time) that is not affected by the operator. Standard models are available with up to 12 poles and up to 4 positions.

Snap-Action Rotary Military Switches have fully enclosed decks and sturdy glass alkyd moldings that provide insulated compartments for contact separation. The ends of the stationary contacts extend outside the insulating disks to serve as connecting terminals, minimizing resistance and heating. Standard double-wiping contacts further reduce resistance. Stationary contacts can be non-shorting (break-before-make), shorting (make-before-break), or "sweep" style (maintains connection with rotor through consecutive positions). Rotor blades can be simple (for single-throw switching in one circuit and double-throw in another), right-angle (for double-throw switching and an intermediate OFF position), or multifingered (for double-throw, triple-throw, or four-throw switching).

Spring-return models, motor-driven models, ganged switches, solenoid locks, tandem configurations, waterproof mounts, engraved nameplates, and a wide variety of handles are also available.

Prices start at $55.00 with delivery beginning @ 2 weeks ARO.
