J.W. Miller Announces New Shielded, SMT Power Inductors for High Current Applications with Small Packaging Constraints
GARDENA, Calif. - Oct. 18, 2002 - J.W. Miller, a leading provider of custom and standard magnetic components, has introduced the new PM104SH Series of shielded SMT power inductors for high-current applications. Magnetically shielded construction emits a very low level of radiation when operated at high frequencies and at high ripple current conditions, protecting circuit functionality.
The PM104SH inductors feature low DC resistance, a ferrite bobbin core and a low profile, compact size. Measuring just 10.0 mm x 10.2mm x 4.0 mm, the new inductors are ideally suited for a wide range of applications including computers, servers, network cards, industrial electronics, PDAs, electronic game devices, battery chargers, digital media players, and high-frequency wireless communication devices.
Performance characteristics include inductance range of 1.5 to 330uH, DC current range of 0.52 to 6.5A, and operating temperature range of -40° to +100°C. The inductors are shipped in 1000 units per tape and reel and priced at $0.65 in production quantities.
