SMT Headers from Molex Maximize Board Placement Options

Meet the increasing need to populate both sides of printed circuit boards with the new line of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) headers from Molex Incorporated. These 2.54mm (.100") pitch single row headers have been added to the KK® and SL(TM) product families, two of Molex's most popular lines. They are available in vertical shrouded and unshrouded versions and in low-profile horizontal unshrouded versions.

All header versions feature 0.64mm (.025") square phosphor bronze pins, with housings manufactured of high-temperature thermoplastic to withstand SMT board processing. They are available in a wide range of mating pin lengths for use with KK and SL single-row crimp and IDT terminal receptacles. Choose from various circuit sizes and plating options, as well as custom configurations with voided circuits.

Pricing for these products depends on quantity and style. For example, when purchased in quantities of 5,000, the four-circuit header would cost 11 cents each. Typical lead time is three to four weeks.
