MMD Adds Line Of Compact (2 x 2.5 MM), RoHS-Compliant, Ceramic SMD Oscillators with 1.54-80 MHz Frequency Range
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif., December 3, 2007 - MMD Components (Monitor & Quartztek), a producer of frequency control devices, has introduced a new RoHS-compliant oscillator in a compact, hermetically sealed, surface-mount ceramic package. Ideal for use in devices such as mobile and cordless phones, digital cameras, PDAs and notebook computers, the new MXH series oscillators measure only 2 x 2.5 millimeters and are available in a wide frequency range of 1.54 MHz to 80 MHz.
MXH series oscillators operate at supply voltages of 1.6 VDC minimum, with maximum power consumption during full operation as low as 8 milliamps. They also have a standby function that enables the oscillator to use a mere 30 microamps, an important feature in battery applications.
Operating temperature range is -40ºC to +85ºC; frequency stability is as tight as ±25 PPM; maximum start-up time is 10 milliseconds and rise/fall time 4 nanoseconds; and the aging rate is ±5 PPM for the first year. Waveform output is HCMOS compatible and tri-state functionality comes standard.
