Sludge Level Control can monitor thin floc levels.

Press Release Summary:

Sludge Blanket Level Control uses laser-like beam to monitor thin floc and Dissolved Air Flotation sludge levels. Microprocessor-based instrument is housed in NEMA 4X enclosure with LCD local readout, 4-20 mA output, 2 set-point relays, and RS 232/485 serial port. Self-diagnostic system simplifies debugging. Depth ranges are 4 or 8 ft. Fixed installation and portable models are available.

Original Press Release:

Sludge Blanket Level Control

Sonar type sludge level detectors do not work in very thin sludges, or in the Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) process, but Markland's patented laser-like beam can easily monitor thin floc and DAF sludge levels. The microprocessor based instrument is housed in a NEMA-4x enclosure with an LCD local readout, 4-20ma output, two set-point relays and an RS 232/485 serial port. An advanced self-diagnostic system simplifies debugging. Depth rages are 4 feet (1.22M) or 8 Feet. Fixed installation and portable models are available.
