New Witte Slot Vacuum Chuck 'Starter Set' from IBAG North America
North Haven June 8, 2006...IBAG North America, the exclusive national representative for WITTE Vacuum Clamping Systems, announces the new Slot Vacuum Chuck Starter Set that features an integrated vacuum supply for reduced costs and making the unit ready for immediate use. The aluminum alloy slot chuck has an overall size of 200 x 100 x 32 mm with a clamping area of 100 x 200 mm. The furnished rubber adapter mat can be configured as required by punching holes through the mat to accommodate clamping of small parts.
For workpiece adjustment there are work locating stops on two sides of the vacuum chuck. A vacuum stopper allows limitation of area affected by the vacuum function, thereby substantially extending the clamping system capabilities. Two clamps are furnished for holding the chuck to the machine table as well as a supply hose with connector for compressed air connection. The "starter set" slot vacuum chuck is ideal for light milling work, drilling and clamping of very small workpieces.
