Sloan's Uppercut(TM) Dual-Flush Flushometer Wins Another Top 10 Environmental Product Award
FRANKLIN PARK, IL - Sloan Valve Company's UPPERCUT(TM) Dual-Flush Flushometer has been chosen as one of the top 10 green building products for 2006 in Sustainable Industries Journal, published by Celilo Group Media. A panel of green building experts singled out the UPPERCUT as being one of the most innovative advances in the commercial building industry.
Sloan's UPPERCUT Dual-Flush Flushometer gives users two flush options: Tilt the handle up for liquid waste, which saves about half a gallon per flush. Or push the handle down for a standard 1.6-gallon flush for solid waste. The distinctive green handle on the new patent-pending Flushometer features an antimicrobial coating for protection against germs.
Sloan also offers an UPPERCUT Dual-Flush Handle retrofit kit, which can be easily fitted onto manual Sloan Flushometers for immediate water savings.
UPPERCUT had previously been honored with a Top 10 Green Building Products award from BuildingGreen Inc., publisher of the green building publications GreenSpec® Product Directory and Environmental Building News(TM), and received endorsement from the Green Restaurant Association for helping the industry become environmentally sustainable.
